2007 4 Cycle Speedway Grand National Title Sponsor Named.
Banner Engineering Corporation, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has signed on as the Title Sponsor of the 2007 IKF 4 Cycle Speedway Grand National scheduled for July 9-13, 2007, at Rolling Thunder Speedway in Huron, SD.

Helmet Fitting Clinic scheduled for April Board Meeting
Mr. Tim Currier will present a helmet fitting clinic on Saturday, April 21st after the regular IKF Board Meeting in Dallas/Fort Worth TX. The clinic will be held in the Meeting Room starting between 5:30 - 6:00PM.

Tire Rule for 2007 Midwest Speedway Tour
Per Mr. Bill Hilger, Region 5A Speedway Regional Coordinator: The IKF Midwest Speedway Tour has adopted a Maxxis tire only rule for the series in 2007. Any Maxxis tire is allowed for all classes.

2007 Shifter Grand National Update
By vote of the Board of Directors of the IKF, the three punch rule has been waived for competitors at the 2007 Shifter Grand National. This waiver is only for the Shifter classes at the combined 2 Cycle Sprint/Shifter Grand National to be held at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in Buttonwillow CA.

IKF mourns the loss of Mr. Jim Russell Sr., long time member of the IKF karting family.
The Board of Directors, Office Staff and Membership of the International Kart Federation wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Jim Russell Sr., of Russell Karting Specialties. Jim was a long time IKF member, Board Member and fixture at IKF meetings for many years. He will truly be missed by all of his karting family.
