2005 Shifter Grand National
The Three Punch Requirement for participation in the 2005 Shifter Grand National has been waived by fax poll vote of the IKF Board of Directors on July 21, 2005.

IKF DRIVERS TO BE FEATURED ON OUTDOOR CHANNEL 2 HD
Los Angeles , CA – Nine drivers from the International Kart Federation will be featured in an upcoming show featuring young competitors from extreme sports and motorsports on The Outdoor Channel 2 HD in a series called GRR-TV.
Production crew from fxf productions arranged to interview and film these drivers at the IKF 2 Cycle Sprint Grand Nationals held at Moran Raceway in Beaumont , CA on June 28, 29 and 30, 2005.
The drivers featured were: Raquel Martinez of Pico Rivera , CA -Cameron Jocelyn of Laguna Hills , CA - Taylor Miinch of El Cajon , CA - Brandon Underwood of Henderson , NV - Steven and Joey Barros of Redlands , CA - Brandon Phinny of Carmel Valley , CA , - Jordan Bianco of Kula , HI and Jess Peterson of Sparks, NV.
Other IKF members interviewed for the series included Deborah Davidson Harpur, Media Relations for the IKF – Gary Woltjer of Woltjer Racing Engines, Rocky Moran Jr. of Moran Raceway - Jim McMillan, President of the IKF along with many of the parents of the featured drivers.
The series shows the personality and the drive behind each competitor in the extreme sport they have chosen and will feature interviews along with footage of the competitors in action on the track.
The IKF congratulates the competitors for representing our organization and thanks Moran Raceway and the Tri C Karters for hosting such a fine event.

“Mouth of Motorsports” joins IKF Region 7 Southwestern Super Series
Los Angeles, CA – On behalf of the IKF Region 7 Southwestern Super Series, Media Relations director Deborah Davidson Harpur today announced that Trey Valentine, promoted as the “mouth of motorsports” has joined the International Kart Federation Region 7 Southwestern Super Series as a co-announcer for the championship sprint series.
Joining announcer Michael May, Valentine expressed anticipation for the remaining races of the IKF Region 7 Sprint schedule “All I wanted to do in the 2005 karting season was to have fun and put on a good show for the karters. I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces that I haven’t seen in a while and feel that I am fulfilling my goal by finishing out the race season with the IKF.”
Adding another announcer to the current staff for the Southwestern Super Series is one more way regional coordinator Don St. Ours is showing his commitment to his “Year of the Racer” program.
Valentine and May can be heard at the next IKF region 7 event September 3 & 4, 2005 at Willow Springs Kart track in Rosamond, CA.

IKF Region 7 Southwestern Super Series-Round VI
Los Angeles, CA- International Kart Federation Region 7 Coordinator Don St. Ours today announced the Willow Springs Kart Track as the venue for Round VI of the Southwestern Super Series to be held on September 3 & 4, 2005.
As a gesture of appreciation for the racers and their families that participate in this series, St. Ours has made special arrangements with the Essex House in Lancaster to be the host hotel for the event. Rooms that normally cost $145.00 will cost only $70.00 per night if you mention that you want the IKF Region 7 Racer rate. Reservations for accommodations at the host hotel can be made by calling 661.948.0961.
Additionally, St. Ours has stated that there will be some giveaways and other promotional special events and that his commitment to making 2005 “Racer Appreciation Year” is still strong.
Participants who have been attending the IKF Region 7 Southwestern Super Series since Round I earlier this year can attest to the exciting race action that is in store for those that care to participate.
The officials, staff, drivers and crews of the IKF and specifically IKF Region 7 Sprint invite you to join them at this exciting event at Willow Springs Kart Track.

News Flash from the 2005 IKF 4 Cycle Speedway Grand Nationals at Pipestone County Speedway in Pipestone MN
Great competition, wonderful weather and great track conditions made a successful first day of competition at this Grand National event! The second day of the event is well under way today. Over 519 entries at this time and expect to reach 600+ entries at this years event. Further update tomorrow. Results will be posted when received.
